Ocutech is a leading developer of optical low vision solutions for patients suffering from macular degeneration and other low vision impairments.

Ocutech, Inc. is the developer of the revolutionary VESÆ-Autofocus Bioptic Telescope and other innovative devices to enhance the vision of the partially sighted. The original VESÆ was invented by Russ Pekar, Ph.D., himself visually impaired, who is president of Ocutech, Inc., the VESÆ manufacturer. The VESÆ-Autofocus was a combined project including Robert Beadles, engineer, and Henry Greene, O.D., low vision specialist, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and from the Ontario Ministry of Health. The VESÆ-AF project took over 6 years and cost about $1 million dollars. All Ocutech low vision aids have been carefully designed to provide the highest level of optical and functional performance to make their use as effective and convenient as possible.
